‘Pokemon Go’ cheats, hacks, tips, and incense trick to help you beat the epic smartphone game

Pokemon Go’ cheats,
Pokemon Go’ cheats, hacks, tips, and incense trick to help you beat the epic smartphone game

The “Pokemon Go” mobile phenomenon has taken over the world by a storm ever since it was launched on July 6 and shows no signs of slowing down. It has even left Facebook and Twitter behind in terms of popularity.

The augmented reality (AR) app places Pokemon in the real world using your smartphone camera whether it’s in your office or down your street.

Players are always on the go to catch their favourite Pokemon and expand their collection for the ultimate Pokemon team. The players of the GPS based augmented reality mobile game for Android and iOS are always on the lookout for ways to get ahead in the game by looking for easy and effective ways to ace the game. Some have gone to the extent of using drones, different hacking methods and some even purchasing accounts from eBay to help speed up their progress in the game. Similarly, the internet is already flooded with tips and tricks on how to get ahead if you want to “catch ‘em all!”

So, if you are looking to get an edge on other players, here are a few tips and tricks that you might find useful.

How to start the game with Pikachu as your starter Pokemon?

Players get an opportunity to catch the fan-favourite Pikachu at the start of Pokemon Go. Instead of starting with one of the three classic starters such as Bulbasaur, Squirtle, or Charmander to catch Pokemon, you can choose Pikachu, if you’re willing to walk to catch it. In the beginning of the game, when Professor Willow offers Charmander, Squirtle, and Bulbasaur, all you need to do is to walk away. If you walk far enough away, the three starters will respawn and the smartphone will vibrate. They will appear again and again until the fourth attempt when Pikachu appears with the other three.

How to catch wild characters?

For those who are looking for Blastoise, the final form of Squirtle, and Charizard, the final form of Charmander, they are available out in the wild and it is always wise to catch them. Venusaur, though rare, but it can be found near green places, covered in trees.

How to catch specific Pokemon?

For a particular kind of Pokemon, look for them near their certain elements, such as Marowark can be found near parks, Dratini and Lapras near water bodies, Mr. Mime near parks and other areas and Onyx anywhere except water bodies.

How to use incense trick?

According to Comicbook, a Redditor ___isitin___ has found the correct way of using incense to lure Pokemon. Generally, the players use incense to avoid walking. However, the spawn rate goes up “if the player travels at least 200 meters between spawns.” The most effective way to use incense while playing Pokemon GO is to move around at the speed of a “fast jog.” This way, it is possible to catch much more Pokemon while incense is still active.

How to look for rare Pokemon?

Rare Pokemon is not easy to catch. Once they appear, it is important to pay attention to the catching technique. It is said that one must pay attention to the white ring when throwing the Pokeball to catch the Pokemon. The smaller it is, you are more likely to catch it.

Alternatively, one can also breed rare Pokemon instead of going after and catching them. According to a Reddit user Skyrider RJM, Ingress app can provide a clearer picture of where to look for a particular Pokemon.

Hunt (safely) at night

Firstly, don’t get robbed or stabbed. It’s clearly not safe to go by yourself to a Lure-enabled PokeStop in the middle of a city at night. Having said that, you can smartly hunt in pairs or small groups at night to find Pokemon that are available “abundantly at night”. So, while it is advisable to hunt at night, but at the same time, one must be very cautious to avoid accidents at all times. Just stick to well-lit areas and have a car nearby.

Which other strong characters one should look out for?

Players also must look at collecting Scyther, Snorlax, and Lickitung, which are other robust and valuable Pokemon characters. While Scyther is fast and powerful, Snorlax is mammoth and strong. Simultaneously, there is no particular area they can be found at.

If you are looking for more, then Aerodactyl, Seaking, Kangaskhan, Psyduck, and Arkanine are worth catching Pokemon that can prove to be valuable to the game. While these can be found anywhere, but one must be quick to catch them when they appear.

Pokemon Go
Pokemon is getting a live-action movie based on Detective Pikachu

Pokemon Go fever has definitely caught Hollywood’s attention: The franchise is getting a live-action movie, the rights to which were just won by Legendary Pictures. The movie won’t be focused on Pokemon Go, however: Instead, it’ll put the spotlight on Detective Pikachu, a sleuthing version of one of Pokemon’s most recognizable characters introduced in a franchise spin-out game for Nintendo 3DS earlier this year.

Production is set to begin in 2017, with Legendary fast-tracking the usual process according to Variety, almost definitely in the hopes of catching the Pokemon Go hype wave before (if?) it dissipates. Universal Pictures is going to be distributing the movie I’m markets outside of Japan.

Pokemon already has a storied animated filmic history, but this is its first foray into live action movies. The film rights were reported as being auctioned last week, and Legendary probably paid a decent sum to win the glory, given how much hype the franchise is currently riding.

A note for casting directors: I dressed up as an EXTREMELY CONVINCING Brock once for Halloween and critics are still raving about the performance (aka, one friend remembers vaguely that this probably happened).

Ubisoft has high hopes for its upcoming Watch Dogs sequel

Watch Dogs 2
Watch Dogs 2 could become one of Ubisoft's best-selling games ever

CEO Yves Guillemot said during an earnings call this week that Watch Dogs 2 could become one of Ubisoft's top games in its 30-year history in terms of sales.

"Watch Dogs 2 has the potential to be one of Ubisoft's best-selling games of all time," Guillemot said.

He said he's confident in the gameplay and story advancements the team has made for the sequel, specifically citing the game's "more seamless" online functionality and co-op. The game also has "engaging" characters and a "relevant storyline" inspired by hacker culture, he said.

The reaction to Watch Dogs 2's official announcement at E3 this year was "very positive," Guillemot said. He also mentioned that the reveal trailer passed 30 million views.

Ubisoft
The first Watch Dogs, released in 2014, sold 4 million copies in its first two weeks. It went on to ship more than 9 million copies, though this figure is only accurate as of October 2014.

Watch Dogs 2 launches on November 15 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The game is set in San Francisco (the original took place in Chicago), and stars a new protagonist named Marcus Holloway, an African-American from across the Bay in Oakland.

Pokémon Go will launch in Japan tomorrow with game’s first sponsored location

Pokémon Go fever has doubled the value of Nintendo’s business, pushing it past Sony in the process. Can you imagine what will happen when the game finally goes live in Japan, the birthplace of the Pokémon phenomenon?

Pokémon Go in Japan
Pokémon Go will launch in Japan tomorrow

Well, you don’t have long to wait since Pokémon Go is scheduled to launch in Japan tomorrow (Wednesday), sources have confirmed to TechCrunch. Niantic, the company behind the title, did not reply to our request for comment.

Pokémon Go is currently available in over 30 countries, including the U.S., Canada and much of Europe, but Japan has so far been left off the list. That’s upset and frustrated a lot of true Pokémon addicts, but Niantic — which has watched the game become more popular than Twitter, Tinder and a host of other top apps — has tried to rationalize the situation.

Niantic CEO John Hanke recently told Forbes that the delay is because the companies behind the app — which include the Pokémon company and Nintendo — want to ensure that its servers are suitably robust to withstand the demand that the Japan launch is sure to generate.

“We expect it to be released by the end of July,” Hanke told Forbes.

Well, surprise! Tomorrow has been earmarked as launch day so we won’t have to wait quite that long to watch Pokémania hit Japan.

Beyond the inevitable crazy adoption and likely billions more added to Nintendo’s valuation from the buzz, Pokémon Go’s Japan launch will be notable for another reason: it’ll be the first time that the company has tied up with an official partner.

Hanke previously said that Niantic would augment the already significant revenue that the game is making from in-app purchases by allowing selective partners to become “sponsored locations” in the game. A sponsor can create “gyms” — where Pokémon can be caught by gamers — at their retail store or locations, a move that could drive real-world traffic and potential sales to their business.

McDonalds will be the first launch partner in a tie-in that will see its 3,000 plus fast food restaurants across Japan become gyms for would-be Pokémon collectors. That’ll be a collaboration to watch since it will be replicated in other parts of the world and, if Pokémon Go can sustain itself beyond being a temporary craze, sponsorship could be lucrative for both the game makers and brands seeking to drive foot traffic.

Japan will mark the first launch of Pokémon Go in Asia which, Australia and New Zealand aside, has been ignored as Niantic has focused on getting the game to market (and stable) in North America and Europe first. TechCrunch understands that further launches in Asian countries will happen this week and next, so there’s still lots more to come.

Pokédex case keeps your phone powered up so that you can catch ’em all!

Pokédex case
Pokédex case

An aspiring Pokémon master by the name of NPOOLE has found a creative way to inch one step closer towards his goal. He has posted a blogpost detailing his creation on SparkFun and printed a Pokédex external battery and case to combat the game’s already legendary drain on their Galaxy S4’s resources.

The case utilizes a bit of 3D printing and three affordable components—a lithium ion battery, USB breakout, and power cell—to not only store your phone in style but also charge it. The total cost to build the charging station itself is less than $40.

NPOOLE says this is just the first iteration; he plans on adding cooling fans and extra batteries to the next revision. In the meantime you can download the design from Github if you want to 3D-print your own, and check out the original source below for more info.

Pokemon Go

Players of Pokemon Go are not only giving up their right to act like same human beings in public, as they walk around, zombie-esque, reaching into the phones held in front of their faces, they are also likely to be waiving legal rights if they don’t take a very close look at Niantic Labs’ Terms of Service for the game.

As spotted earlier by The Consumerist, an arbitration notice states that Pokemon Go users automatically agree to waive their rights to any future trial by jury or class action lawsuit unless they opt out of a binding clause in the T&Cs…

ARBITRATION NOTICE: EXCEPT IF YOU OPT OUT AND EXCEPT FOR CERTAIN TYPES OF DISPUTES DESCRIBED IN THE “AGREEMENT TO ARBITRATE” SECTION BELOW, YOU AGREE THAT DISPUTES BETWEEN YOU AND NIANTIC WILL BE RESOLVED BY BINDING, INDIVIDUAL ARBITRATION, AND YOU ARE WAIVING YOUR RIGHT TO A TRIAL BY JURY OR TO PARTICIPATE AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS ACTION OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING.

To opt out of the legal rights waiver, users need to email termsofservice@nianticlabs.com or can send regular mail to 2 Bryant St., Ste. 220, San Francisco, CA 94105.

But the opt out process is only valid if exercised within 30 days following the date a user first accepted the T&Cs.

Having a short opt-out window for legal rights embedded within T&Cs which the vast majority of users won’t read before clicking ‘I agree’ and rushing into their neighbor’s garden to try to catch a pikachu is a very aggressive stance.

Binding arbitration means a private dispute resolution process, heard outside a courtroom, with individual users having to mount their own cases — rather than having the ability to band together in a class action, for example, if there is a data breach which affects multiple users in the same way.

Only individual actions brought to small claims courts and actions seeking injunctive or equitable relief pertaining to IP infringement rights are unaffected.

The rules under which any arbitration would take place are specified as those of the American Arbitration Association — “in accordance with the Commercial Arbitration Rules and the Supplementary Procedures for Consumer Related Disputes”, albeit with some Niantic specific modifications. Safe to say, private arbitration is a restrictive route for redress that clearly disadvantages consumers.

We’ve asked Niantic Labs for comment on the arbitration clause and will update this post with any response.

As previously noted, Pokemon Go also requires extensive app permissions to run. And the Pokemon Go privacy policy states the company may share aggregated data with third parties, and identifiable user data with law enforcement agencies and other parties for a range of reasons it deems appropriate.

The privacy policy further notes that in the event of a sale of Niantic users would need to opt out of having their data disclosed/transferred to the third party acquirer — again with only a 30 day window to do so:

Information that we collect from our users, including PII [personally identifiable information], is considered to be a business asset. Thus, if we are acquired by a third party as a result of a transaction such as a merger, acquisition, or asset sale or if our assets are acquired by a third party in the event we go out of business or enter bankruptcy, some or all of our assets, including your (or your authorized child’s) PII, may be disclosed or transferred to a third party acquirer in connection with the transaction. In the event of such a transaction, we will give you notice of the transaction and the opportunity for a period of 30 days to refuse disclosure or transfer of your (or your authorized child’s) PII to the third party acquirer in connection with the transaction.

People are searching for Pokemon Go more than porn on Google

Pokemon Go google searches
Pokemon Go google searches

Just like death is permanent in life, porn has been a permanent feature of Internet since its evolution. So much so that porn happened to be the second most searched term after god on Google. However, the newly released hyper-hit from Nintendo and Niantic, Pokemon Go has overtaken porn as most searched term on Google.

Nintendo’s Pokemon Go has already outstripped Facebook, Twitter and Snapchat in terms of time spent by users and now it has broken the ultimate barrier of Internet, Google search. The Pokemon Go which is an augmented reality game has now also beaten Google search terms for ‘porn’.

The data is available from Google’s Trends website, which tracks how often queries are entered into the search engine, allowing visitors to compare the popularity of several search terms.

Searches for the game began to spike last Wednesday after the game was released in Australia and New Zealand, and rose further still when it was released in the US at the end of last week.
According to Google Trends data on Monday, worldwide searches for the game outstripped those for porn by 33%. However, now that the Pokemon Go is slowly being released in other parts of the world including a pan-European rollout, the search for the term is bound to come down.

Looks like John Hanke, the creator of Pokemon Go is laughing his way to the bank!

Facebook Messenger’s hidden Football Game is highly Addictive

Facebook has recently organized a new football game inside the messenger app. It is assumed that game of soccer inside a messenger app is actually a tribute to the UEFA Euro 2016 championship. The mini game is highly addictive and you can also have a mini tournament with your facebook friends.

Facebook in a post stated “have you taken the football ‪#‎KeepyUpChallenge‬ with your friends in Messenger yet? To be part of the action, send the ⚽️ to any of your friends, and tap on it to start playing. The more times you tap the ball to “keep it in the air”, the more points you will get. Your high score will be shared with the friend or friends you’re playing within the Messenger conversation. Enjoy!”
`
As we already noticed, Facebook had launched the similar type of game in the month of March that was a Basketball game which got activated by just sharing the emoji of basketball. Therefore, to start this new football game all you need to do is just send a soccer ball emoji in any of your friend’s conversation and touch it with your fingers.

However, football lovers, don’t expect the game to be too innovative because the interface is simple, all you have to do in this game is trying to keep the football in the air as long as you can, the game will become difficult as the level progresses. To exit the game users just have to press the “Back” button and they will be back to the messenger. Unfortunately, there is no pause system in the game. You have to quit it.

Users have to update their Facebook Messenger app to the latest version in order to play the game. We had recently seen Facebook messenger for android announced SMS integration and we also saw Messenger recently introduced to 1,500 new emojis to the app. So Facebook messenger is going on an uprise in recent time.

Glu Mobile launches Britney Spears: American Dream

Glu Mobile, the maker of games like “Kim Kardashian: Hollywood”, “Deer Hunter”, and “Diner Dash”, is today unveiling another celebrity-branded game. This time, we’re taking a caricatured look into the life and times of pop queen Britney Spears with “Britney Spears: American Dream.”

As with these types of games, the exact goal is unclear. But Glu Mobile describes it as a way to allow “players to morph into pop stars fighting for fame and fortune in the music industry.”

In short, it’s much like the Glu Mobile games featuring Kim Kardashian and Katy Perry. Users compete as pop stars and design cover art, ‘record hit singles’ (which includes no recording or mixing of any kind), and perform on stage from small venues to international stages.

Of course, there are plenty of opportunities for in-app purchases, with prices ranging from $0.99 to $99.

If you recall correctly, Glu has seen both success and failure with these sorts of games.

For example, Kim Kardashian: Hollywood has seen 42 million downloads and generated $157.8 million in non-GAAP revenue as of March 2016. Whereas Kim Kardashian: Hollywood reached number two on the iOS app charts on its second day of availability, Katy Perry Pop only managed to hit number 101 at its peak.

“The greatest challenge in developing these titles is matching the right celebrity with the right game engine,” said Chairman and CEO Niccolo de Masi. “Simultaneously, maximizing the partnership with everything else going on in that celebrity’s world.”

Hopefully for Glu, the company matched Britney Spears with the right game engine. Though the company saw shares pop with the announcement of a forthcoming Taylor Swift title in February, Glu has shown signs of fiscal weakness.

The Street credits this to deteriorating net income, disappointing return on equity, and weak operating cash flow.

Both “Britney Spears: American Dream” and the forthcoming Taylor Swift game should give the game maker a bump, but as Kim Kardashian and Katy Perry have taught us, nothing is a sure thing.

This immortal Grand Theft Auto deer is causing chaos in game world

Indestructible deer in GTA 5 is causing havoc inside the game
GTA 5 has allowed a host of mods and cheats to be used inside its vast open world environment, but we are pretty sure that gamers are not prepared for an indestructible deer causing massive levels of havoc across the entire map.
Artist Brent Watanabe has programmed the virtual deer to wander around the large San Andreas game world, and during its initial hours of being made, the animal has been through a series of tumultuous adventures, which includes being caught in a gangland gun battle, invading a military base and being chased by the police.
However, this deer has lived to tell the tale because it has been programmed to be completely immortal. A video uploaded on Twitch showed how the animal was enjoying its trip in the world of GTA 5, and more than 200,000 people have tuned in to watch the deer in action.
The project uses a modified version of GTA V that let Mr. Watanabe change the player to look like a deer. The animal wanders around the virtual 100 square miles of the San Andreas world in which the game is set. Watanabe explains his goals in creating the animal:
_88926883_f1b80ae2-f907-4d5e-ae3a-6f6673c37e63
“The most difficult thing during the creation of the project was simply teaching myself to modify GTA V. There is an incredibly active modding community and I figured out how to programme the mod through a lot of forum searches and trial and error. The biggest difficulty was getting it stable enough to run for 12-14 hours at a time without crashing.”
As stated earlier, the deer is impervious to harm so it can keep on wandering despite being regularly shot at, beaten incessantly, run over by cars and other vehicles, and every other gruesome way that you can think about ending the life of an animal.

It looks like Sony will follow Nintendo’s cue and focus on mobile gaming. The company announced today that it will form a new business unit that is tasked with bringing PlayStation titles and IP to iOS and Android devices. That sounds like great news for gamers, but there’s a caveat here, it seems.
Forward Works, Sony’s mobile gaming arm, is going to focus on users based in Japan and Asia, according to today’s announcement.
The division will be formally created on April 1 — not a hoax (we hope) and the same date that Sony Computer Entertainment becomes Sony Interactive Entertainment — so we’re likely to learn more after then.
Atsushi Morita, SCE’s head in Japan
Nintendo released its first mobile game this month, Miitomo. The long-awaited title isn’t really a mainstream release, though. Rather, it is a social app that lets users create cartoon-like avatars — very much like the ‘Miis’ you can create with the Nintendo Wii. That’s likely to leave it appealing to hardcore Nintendo fans. Sony, however, has hinted that its mobile titles will be “full-fledged,” which makes us optimistic that they will be more universally appealing. Sony’s previous effort at tapping smartphones — PlayStation Mobile — was tied to its Vita handheld device. It closed down last year.

Eye-tracking virtual reality headset maker FOVE has closed an $11 million Series A led by Colopl VR Fund, with participation from the venture fund of Hon Hai (Foxconn), 2020, and Samsung Venture Investment.
FOVE has formed strategic partnerships with it new investors and will use its Series A to speed up mass manufacturing of its headset. Colopl, one of Japan’s largest game publishers, said in a statement that it will develop content for FOVE.
FOVE launched at Disrupt San Francisco in 2014, before raising $480,650 in a Kickstarter campaign. Last month, the Tokyo-based company said it will delay the shipment of its head mount display to fall 2016 because of difficulty sourcing some components. It was originally supposed to ship this month.
CEO and co-founder Yuka Kojima tells TechCrunch the fall 2016 shipment date is still on and that the company is “working very hard to secure the timeline.”
When FOVE does launch, the head mounted display faces competition from big VR players like HTC, Oculus, and Sony Playstation, as well as eye-tracking firms, including EyefluenceTobii, and SMI, which are working with headset manufacturers.
Kojima says that FOVE is also interested in licensing its eye-tracking tech to other head mount display makers and hopes to bring those deals to fruition earlier than its competitors. Its also developing new intellectual property related to eye-tracking and virtual reality and foveated rendering, which FOVE hopes will give it an additional edge.
