Now You Can Play Pokemon Go On Windows 10 Mobile
As we all know that the Pokemon Go is a location-based augmented reality game developed and published by Niantic. Pokemon Go crazily stormed the planet and now there are very few countries and the operating systems are just left to have this game, and among them, Windows platform is the one.

Windows 10 Mobile was the platform where the Pokémon Go was not yet available, but now you can install and play Pokemon Go on Windows 10 Mobile. But all thanks to an Open Source client, which made it possible for all the Windows Phone users to play Pokemon Go on Windows 10 Mobile.

See how you can finally have the Pokémon Go on your Windows 10 Mobile.


The PoGo-UWP, as it is not the official application of Niantic but already gives the possibility for users of Windows 10 Mobile to have the Pokémon Go on their smartphones. This is an open source client which is accessible to all.

The PoGo-UWP is not yet officially completed and published in the Windows application store, so, for now it requires users to install manually. If you still want to help to test the app and contribute to development, then you will need to follow few advanced steps, but don’t get worried about the advance steps, as the steps are not as advance that you might be thinking.

So let’s get started:-


  • Login via the official Android or iOS client or simply you can also use the Bluestacks app player directly on your PC.
  • Then select a starting Pokemon and log out from the official app by tapping on the Pokeball icon.
  • If you are on Bluestacks without a GPS signal then just close the app by pressing the ‘X’ icon.
  • Now you have to download all these Github files to a PC connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your Windows 10 Mobile and have to place them in the same folder. (Here is the files 1st – 2nd – 3rd)
  • Now enable developer features and to do this just go to Settings and search “For developers”.
  • Then simply enable the “Developer mode, Device discovery, and Device Portal”.
  • Now on the bottom of the “Device Portal” settings, you will see an IP address, just navigate to that IP address on the PC containing the Github files.
  • Then just click on the Apps section on the Device Portal in your PC browser and add the file “PokemonGo-UWP_1.0.3.0_ARM_Debug.appx” under Install App.
  • Then Add package and add other two files as dependencies.
  • Now just click on the Go button under the Deploy.
  • Here you are done, so now just launch the PoGo-UWP on your Windows phone and login with the account which you set up earlier.

Pokemon Go is definitely big enough to start generating its own ecosystem, and one new Android app hints at how far things could go beyond simply crafting a better Pokedex. PokeFitgives PoGo trainers a dashboard overlaid on their game screen to track play time, distance travelled, steps walked and energy burned.


PokeFit, from P3 communications, helps trainers get a real-time grasp on the positive health benefits they’re getting by playing Pokemon Go. The app itself keeps a log of your sessions, giving you a breakdown of how long each lasted and how much distance you traversed during your trip, and when you’re using Pokemon Go, it displays a small rectangular frame in the upper left corner of your screen, providing quick access to info at a glance. You can also turn off the display but still track your stats for review later if you’d rather go for the pure PoGo experience.

The app has another special power trainers will welcome: You can use it to override your screen’s timeout settings, keeping the display on Android devices from going dark while you’re out tracking down your ‘mons. The app also tracks battery usage and data spent while playing Pokemon Go, which might be eye-opening info for frequent players.

One other interesting thing PokeFit does is keep route maps of your game sessions, overlaid on Google Maps. It’s a pretty standard feature for apps like MapMyRun, but interesting to see here provided, of course, you’re okay with making that data available to the developer.

Other apps are similarly interesting in adding features to Pokemon Go, particularly on Android where there’s more flexibility for concurrent applications. LookOut!, for instance, offers a live video feed (with quite a bit of lag, sadly) at the top of your display overlaid on Pokemon Go (and other apps) to give players a look at what’s in front of them, so they don’t walk into traffic or fall down a well.

I still think it’s early days for Pokemon Go in terms of interest and sustained popularity, so expect to see more of these types of applications. We’ll check back in about six months and see if anyone’s managed to build a sustainable business strictly operating within the market of Pokemon Go players.

Poke Radar app shows where you can find rare Pokemon

This app lets you find Pokemons’ in Pokemon Go easily

While the most popular augmented reality mobile game app, Pokemon Go continues to rule as the most sought after app to be downloaded in Apple’s App Store, there is another free app that is closing on Pokemon Go.

Known as Poke Radar for Pokemon Go, which premiered on July 14 is now the second-most-downloaded free app (currently iOS only) in Apple’s App Store. The reason is that the app helpfully maps where Pokemon are hiding all over the world and lets you search for specific Pokemon near you.

The tool (which is really just Google Maps with Pokemon scattered all over it) is available both on the web and as a mobile app. Unfortunately, the website is currently experiencing slow-down due to a lot of traffic due to the wide popularity of the game, so you’re better off with the mobile app.


“Using Poke Radar for Pokémon Go is extremely simple,” the app’s developer Braydon Batungbacal says in explaining the app. “You can view all of the nearby Pokémon in your area that have been discovered by yourself and other players on the map, along with the times of day they were found.”

In other words, the app allows players to search for Pokemon and submit their findings when they run across Pokemon anywhere in the world. This makes playing Pokemon Go much easier. Infact, timings for the sightings are also added, as that can be important in figuring out when the Pokemon appear.

The idea is that it works both ways, so you will finally be able to fill your Pokedex without spending hours wandering around without a purpose. Players can even set up a filter on the app to find specific Pokemon they need.

Certainly, the submission-dependent radar is very much vulnerable to trolls (or worse) dropping fake sightings. Poke Radar for Pokemon Go is only useful if its users share where they have found characters. Therefore, it is possible that the app may be useless in some locations.

“Since Poke Radar for Pokemon Go is driven by its community, it’s possible that there may not yet be Pokemon locations in your area when you first download the app,” the developer acknowledged in the app’s description. “If this is the case, you can go out and mark the locations of Pokemon you’ve found to help other players in your area.”

However, to combat this, the developers have created an “intelligent” rating system that allows you to up-vote or down-vote Pokemon sightings based on how helpful they are. In other words, you can help remove bogus sightings by voting them down.


The game has become the most popular mobile video game of all time and an international phenomenon. It’s also become a fixation for those looking for Pokemon, which in one case prompted a man to quit his day job to become a full-time Pokemon hunter.

Pokemon is getting a live-action movie based on Detective Pikachu

Pokemon Go fever has definitely caught Hollywood’s attention: The franchise is getting a live-action movie, the rights to which were just won by Legendary Pictures. The movie won’t be focused on Pokemon Go, however: Instead, it’ll put the spotlight on Detective Pikachu, a sleuthing version of one of Pokemon’s most recognizable characters introduced in a franchise spin-out game for Nintendo 3DS earlier this year.

Production is set to begin in 2017, with Legendary fast-tracking the usual process according to Variety, almost definitely in the hopes of catching the Pokemon Go hype wave before (if?) it dissipates. Universal Pictures is going to be distributing the movie I’m markets outside of Japan.

Pokemon already has a storied animated filmic history, but this is its first foray into live action movies. The film rights were reported as being auctioned last week, and Legendary probably paid a decent sum to win the glory, given how much hype the franchise is currently riding.

A note for casting directors: I dressed up as an EXTREMELY CONVINCING Brock once for Halloween and critics are still raving about the performance (aka, one friend remembers vaguely that this probably happened).

Not everyone is following Pokemon Go's advice to "be alert at all times" and "stay aware of your surroundings." A driver in Baltimore exhibited some poor decision-making skills by driving and playing Pokemon Go at the same time. He ended up crashing into a parked police car.

In a stroke of luck, the Baltimore Police officers involved were standing outside the car when the accident happened. One of them caught the whole incident on a body camera.

The footage is harrowing. The officers are talking as the oncoming Rav4 sideswipes the patrol vehicle. They walk down the street to catch up with the driver. The driver gets out of the car, holds out his phone to the officers and says, "That's what I get for playing this dumb a** game." Nobody was harmed during the incident, though it could easily have been much more serious.

"We would rather people certainly be playing games than committing crimes," Baltimore Police spokesman T.J. Smith said at a press conference on Tuesday. He first detailed two Pokemon Go-related robberies where players had their phones stolen. Next, he described the patrol-car crash and called for players to pay more attention to safety, whether walking or driving. "This is serious stuff. It's a game, but it's not a game when you're behind the wheel of a 2,000-pound vehicle, driving down the roadway," Smith said.

Reports of Pokemon Go-related problems are cropping up as the insanely popular game continues to attract attention to the tune of over 15 million users. The first car accident attributed to the game occurred last week. Two players in California fell from an ocean-side bluff and had to be rescued and treated at a hospital.

The police-related news around Pokemon Go isn't all about accidents and robberies. A police department in New Hampshire creatively invited all the criminals on its wanted list to pop into the booking area of the station to catch a rare Charizard Pokemon.

In the latest alarming scenario to arise from the popularity of Pokemon Go -- the mobile phone game which sees players hunting for collectible beasts in real-world locations using their phone's GPS -- the 27-year-old Frenchman was stopped by authorities on Monday night having wandered onto the base.

After initially running away when challenged by guards, the man was caught at a checkpoint, but was let go a few hours later when it became apparent he had unintentionally entered the complex while jogging and playing the game.

Pokémon Go will launch in Japan tomorrow with game’s first sponsored location

Pokémon Go fever has doubled the value of Nintendo’s business, pushing it past Sony in the process. Can you imagine what will happen when the game finally goes live in Japan, the birthplace of the Pokémon phenomenon?

Well, you don’t have long to wait since Pokémon Go is scheduled to launch in Japan tomorrow (Wednesday), sources have confirmed to TechCrunch. Niantic, the company behind the title, did not reply to our request for comment.

Pokémon Go is currently available in over 30 countries, including the U.S., Canada and much of Europe, but Japan has so far been left off the list. That’s upset and frustrated a lot of true Pokémon addicts, but Niantic — which has watched the game become more popular than Twitter, Tinder and a host of other top apps — has tried to rationalize the situation.

Niantic CEO John Hanke recently told Forbes that the delay is because the companies behind the app — which include the Pokémon company and Nintendo — want to ensure that its servers are suitably robust to withstand the demand that the Japan launch is sure to generate.

“We expect it to be released by the end of July,” Hanke told Forbes.

Well, surprise! Tomorrow has been earmarked as launch day so we won’t have to wait quite that long to watch Pokémania hit Japan.

Beyond the inevitable crazy adoption and likely billions more added to Nintendo’s valuation from the buzz, Pokémon Go’s Japan launch will be notable for another reason: it’ll be the first time that the company has tied up with an official partner.

Hanke previously said that Niantic would augment the already significant revenue that the game is making from in-app purchases by allowing selective partners to become “sponsored locations” in the game. A sponsor can create “gyms” — where Pokémon can be caught by gamers — at their retail store or locations, a move that could drive real-world traffic and potential sales to their business.

McDonalds will be the first launch partner in a tie-in that will see its 3,000 plus fast food restaurants across Japan become gyms for would-be Pokémon collectors. That’ll be a collaboration to watch since it will be replicated in other parts of the world and, if Pokémon Go can sustain itself beyond being a temporary craze, sponsorship could be lucrative for both the game makers and brands seeking to drive foot traffic.

Japan will mark the first launch of Pokémon Go in Asia which, Australia and New Zealand aside, has been ignored as Niantic has focused on getting the game to market (and stable) in North America and Europe first. TechCrunch understands that further launches in Asian countries will happen this week and next, so there’s still lots more to come.

 Cashing on the popularity of Pokemon Go, there are some gamers who are making quite the profit from their hard earned work of catching and levelling their Pokemon collection. Now, almost two weeks after the game was released, marketplaces like eBay and Craigslist, as well as social sites like Facebook, have become flooded with players offering to sell their accounts featuring rare and high-level Pokemon for more than $100.

 What is more astonishing is just how much these accounts are going for, with some even hitting a Buy It Now price tag of $499.99. Also, it is not surprising that some of these accounts have been picked up. There are plenty of Pokemon hunters who, despite their best tries, are unsuccessful in collecting these virtual creatures. This is most likely due to the fact of rural areas are rare with certain Pokemon compared to big cities, thus forcing them to buy accounts as it is currently the only way for them to get more types of Pokemon. There is also far less PokeStops, and because of the smaller number of players spread out over larger terrain, there are less lures being dropped.

 For instance, accounts listed at level 14 were going for $100, while an account sitting at level 15 was selling for $175 on sites like eBay. On the other hand, there are also lesser bids for some of the lower-priced accounts, including $50 accounts listed at level 10. However, the developer behind the game, Niantic Labs has clearly said this is considered cheating.

 It has noted under Niantic’s trainer’s guidelines on its site that you are not allowed to buy or sell accounts, and that gamers caught trying to login with a different Gmail address could be hit with a soft ban. If the development team Niantic cracks down on selling accounts or add in the ability to trade Pokemon in the future, the trade will likely dramatically decrease.

 Currently, Pokemon Go is available in various countries around the world, with Niantic promising to have the game rolled out to other regions as soon as server problems are fixed. Pokemon Go is currently the top free and top grossing app on both Apple’s App Store and Google Play. According to research firm SensorTower, it has topped more than 20 million downloads worldwide.

Incredible! People set out to catch Pokemon Go

About 5.000 people showed up at Millennium Park on Sunday for probably one of the first massive Pokémon Go player gatherings since the game has been released in the US a couple of weeks ago. Teenagers, artists, cosplayers, young adults and families with children spent a couple of hours or more chasing Pokémon near Cloud Gate, the silver sculpture — nicknamed "The Bean" — that is also a popular Chicago landmark.

Announced as "The first ever Pokémon Go meet up," the event reached attention on Facebook during the last week, with 27K people "interested" in going. Participants could attend at no charge.

The event was started by Sam Guerrero, 24, a technician at a Chicago-based computer repair company who said he didn't expect such a massive attendance. "I expected only friends, co-workers and family members, but it quickly spread."

Volunteer Ryan Harvey, 27, said that members of Silph Road, an online network of Pokémon trainers, helped in spreading the word online. About 20 people volunteered at the event to distribute maps and programs.

Pokémon Go Players who are looking to spend their weekend playing the game were left disappointed. On 16th July a significant interruption striked the game servers. However, PoodleCorp claims this time about the interruption and had mentioned that they had used a DDos attack to take down Niantic servers.

In a DDoS attack, the incoming traffic flooding the victim begins from many unusual sources – potentially hundreds of thousands or further. This completely makes it difficult to stop the attack simply by blocking a single IP address. Moreover, it is very difficult to recognize genuine user traffic from attack traffic when spread across so many points of entrance.

According to the sources, this attack took place just after the Game Pokemon Go launched in 26 more countries in Europe which include Ireland, Greece, Poland and Sweden.


“Our servers are humbled by your incredible response. We are working to resolve the issue. Please try again soon!” It was the message that was shown to Pokémon Go users when they tried to play the game.

As we already mentioned that the hacker group Poodle Corp claims the responsibility of all the happenings. Poodle Corp tweeted about the responsibility for the latest interruption “PokemonGo #Offline #PoodleCorp”

Pokédex case keeps your phone powered up so that you can catch ’em all!

An aspiring Pokémon master by the name of NPOOLE has found a creative way to inch one step closer towards his goal. He has posted a blogpost detailing his creation on SparkFun and printed a Pokédex external battery and case to combat the game’s already legendary drain on their Galaxy S4’s resources.

The case utilizes a bit of 3D printing and three affordable components—a lithium ion battery, USB breakout, and power cell—to not only store your phone in style but also charge it. The total cost to build the charging station itself is less than $40.

NPOOLE says this is just the first iteration; he plans on adding cooling fans and extra batteries to the next revision. In the meantime you can download the design from Github if you want to 3D-print your own, and check out the original source below for more info.

Players of Pokemon Go are not only giving up their right to act like same human beings in public, as they walk around, zombie-esque, reaching into the phones held in front of their faces, they are also likely to be waiving legal rights if they don’t take a very close look at Niantic Labs’ Terms of Service for the game.


As spotted earlier by The Consumerist, an arbitration notice states that Pokemon Go users automatically agree to waive their rights to any future trial by jury or class action lawsuit unless they opt out of a binding clause in the T&Cs…

ARBITRATION NOTICE: EXCEPT IF YOU OPT OUT AND EXCEPT FOR CERTAIN TYPES OF DISPUTES DESCRIBED IN THE “AGREEMENT TO ARBITRATE” SECTION BELOW, YOU AGREE THAT DISPUTES BETWEEN YOU AND NIANTIC WILL BE RESOLVED BY BINDING, INDIVIDUAL ARBITRATION, AND YOU ARE WAIVING YOUR RIGHT TO A TRIAL BY JURY OR TO PARTICIPATE AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS ACTION OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING.

To opt out of the legal rights waiver, users need to email termsofservice@nianticlabs.com or can send regular mail to 2 Bryant St., Ste. 220, San Francisco, CA 94105.

But the opt out process is only valid if exercised within 30 days following the date a user first accepted the T&Cs.

Having a short opt-out window for legal rights embedded within T&Cs which the vast majority of users won’t read before clicking ‘I agree’ and rushing into their neighbor’s garden to try to catch a pikachu is a very aggressive stance.

Binding arbitration means a private dispute resolution process, heard outside a courtroom, with individual users having to mount their own cases — rather than having the ability to band together in a class action, for example, if there is a data breach which affects multiple users in the same way.

Only individual actions brought to small claims courts and actions seeking injunctive or equitable relief pertaining to IP infringement rights are unaffected.

The rules under which any arbitration would take place are specified as those of the American Arbitration Association — “in accordance with the Commercial Arbitration Rules and the Supplementary Procedures for Consumer Related Disputes”, albeit with some Niantic specific modifications. Safe to say, private arbitration is a restrictive route for redress that clearly disadvantages consumers.

We’ve asked Niantic Labs for comment on the arbitration clause and will update this post with any response.

As previously noted, Pokemon Go also requires extensive app permissions to run. And the Pokemon Go privacy policy states the company may share aggregated data with third parties, and identifiable user data with law enforcement agencies and other parties for a range of reasons it deems appropriate.

The privacy policy further notes that in the event of a sale of Niantic users would need to opt out of having their data disclosed/transferred to the third party acquirer — again with only a 30 day window to do so:

Information that we collect from our users, including PII [personally identifiable information], is considered to be a business asset. Thus, if we are acquired by a third party as a result of a transaction such as a merger, acquisition, or asset sale or if our assets are acquired by a third party in the event we go out of business or enter bankruptcy, some or all of our assets, including your (or your authorized child’s) PII, may be disclosed or transferred to a third party acquirer in connection with the transaction. In the event of such a transaction, we will give you notice of the transaction and the opportunity for a period of 30 days to refuse disclosure or transfer of your (or your authorized child’s) PII to the third party acquirer in connection with the transaction.

People are searching for Pokemon Go more than porn on Google

 Just like death is permanent in life, porn has been a permanent feature of Internet since its evolution. So much so that porn happened to be the second most searched term after god on Google. However, the newly released hyper-hit from Nintendo and Niantic, Pokemon Go has overtaken porn as most searched term on Google.

 Nintendo’s Pokemon Go has already outstripped Facebook, Twitter and Snapchat in terms of time spent by users and now it has broken the ultimate barrier of Internet, Google search. The Pokemon Go which is an augmented reality game has now also beaten Google search terms for ‘porn’.

The data is available from Google’s Trends website, which tracks how often queries are entered into the search engine, allowing visitors to compare the popularity of several search terms.

 Searches for the game began to spike last Wednesday after the game was released in Australia and New Zealand, and rose further still when it was released in the US at the end of last week.
According to Google Trends data on Monday, worldwide searches for the game outstripped those for porn by 33%. However, now that the Pokemon Go is slowly being released in other parts of the world including a pan-European rollout, the search for the term is bound to come down.

 Looks like John Hanke, the creator of Pokemon Go is laughing his way to the bank!
